Client: Corporate Furniture (Sydney, commercial furniture)
Engagement: Managed IT services, network management, security, Microsoft 365, office relocations
Partner since: Day one, when Corporate Furniture opened its doors in 2016
Outcome: IT that the team doesn’t have to think about, run by the same partner from the start.
A relationship built from day one
Corporate Furniture supplies commercial furniture to businesses across Sydney. They’ve been a Static Computers client from the day they opened. That kind of continuity is rare in MSP work, and it didn’t happen by accident. It happened because the brief from the start was simple: handle the technology end of the business properly, hold the line on security, and make it easy for the team to get on with their actual job.
That’s still the operating model today.
What we look after
The engagement covers most of what a business needs from an IT partner, under a single Managed Services Agreement.
The network. Switches, Wi-Fi, internet, firewall, the whole local infrastructure is managed end-to-end. When something on the network needs attention, the team rings one number. When something needs upgrading or replacing, it’s planned, costed and scheduled rather than bolted in reactively.
Security. Endpoint protection, Microsoft 365 security configuration, MFA, identity hygiene and the routine work of keeping the environment hardened against the kind of attacks that target businesses like this on a daily basis. The business isn’t trying to win a cyber-maturity award. It is keeping its data, customer information and supplier relationships safe, and that’s what the security work is built for.
Microsoft 365. Mailboxes, distribution lists, licences and shared inboxes are all managed by Static. The shared inbox is the front door of the business: quotes, supplier replies, customer queries and delivery confirmations all flow through it. We’ve worked with the team on a structured triage and mailbox-management workflow so messages get sorted, nothing important sits unread overnight, and the team finishes the day calmer than they started it.
Office relocations. We’ve moved Corporate Furniture’s office a few times over the years. Each relocation has been planned and executed by Static, network design at the new site, cabling, internet, phones, hardware, the lot. A move is one of the easiest ways for a business to break its own IT. We’ve made sure that hasn’t happened.
Why a long relationship works
When the same partner has looked after your environment over time, they know how it actually runs. They know which user owns which inbox, which printer always misbehaves on a Monday, which supplier needs a particular connector, and which decisions were made (and why) a few years ago. That institutional memory is hard to replace and easy to undervalue until the day you don’t have it.
For Corporate Furniture, that depth shows up in two ways. Day-to-day support is fast because the technician doesn’t have to learn the environment first. And bigger decisions, security uplifts, a new mailbox setup, a network upgrade before a relocation, get made with the full context, not from a cold start.
“Static has looked after our business since we opened in 2016 and continues to look after all our computer and software needs. Fast service and willing to go out of their way to help work around any obstacles they may arise.”
Mitch, Director, Corporate Furniture
